摘要
Abstract This article presents control charts for short production runs. The existing research can be placed into four categories. They are pooled data control charts, control charts with greater sensitivity, control charts for process inputs, and control charts with modified limits. This article also presents advantages and disadvantages of each. Control charts with greater sensitivity include exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA), cumulative sum (CUSUM), and economically designed control charts. Control charts with modified limits include Q charts and two‐stage short‐run control charts. The particular focus of this article is the two‐stage short‐run control charting methodology. This article concludes with future research opportunities in two‐stage short‐run control charts.
