摘要
Abstract Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is an aromatic, semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer with good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, superior mechanical properties, chemical stability and biocompatibility. While the elastic modulus of PEEK is highly similar to that of cortical bone, based on the many such excellent material properties of PEEK, it is determined that it is often used in intervertebral fusion, artificial joint replacement and trauma implants, etc. Biomedical fields. However, the biological inertness and hydrophobicity of PEEK make it difficult to form osseointegration with human bone, thus limiting its use as a bone repair material. In order to make PEEK better used in the human bone implant field, obtaining PEEK bone implants with excellent biological properties has become the focus of many scholars’ research. In this study, the PEEK surface was laser textured to produce a regular shape, which resulted in a laser-modified PEEK material with better properties. The purpose of this study is to improve the micro-abrasion and wetting properties of PEEK and to enhance the service performance of PEEK materials.
