COLOR DESIGN OF JEWELRY AND ART PRODUCTS: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

The article is devoted to different ways of creating multi-colored jewelry and artistic articles, and the peculiarities of their design. It deals with the ways of creating multi-coloured compositional decisions of adornments, problems and difficulties, arising in the process of designing, manufacturing, exploitation and repairing of articles. It is shown that the attractiveness and durability of color design of jewelry and art items largely depends on the combination of various jewelry elements, lighting, surface treatment, used pre- cious and non-precious materials, technologies of their processing and decoration, color perception by dif- ferent groups of consumers and the changing fashion.
