Lung Cavity and Endobronchial Mass: An Uncommon Initial Presentation of Hodgkin's Lymphoma

ABSTRACT Constitutional symptoms and lymphadenopathy are cardinal features of Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL), a malignant lymphoproliferative disorder. While mediastinal involvement is frequently observed, endobronchial HL is a rare and challenging presentation. We report a 23‐year‐old gentleman who presented with a persistent cough, weight loss and a large cavitating lung mass. Microbiological investigations yielded negative results but flexible bronchoscopy (FB) revealed multiple endobronchial masses. Subsequent pathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of HL, mixed cellularity subtype. This case highlights the importance of considering HL in the differentials of endobronchial masses and lung cavities, particularly when initial investigations fail to identify a clear cause.
