The Clinical Observation on the Supportive Enteral Nutrition in the Treatment of Severe Acute Panereatitis

Objective:To evaluate the feasibility,safety,and validity of the early enteral nutrition in severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods:Nineteen patients of SAP from July 2002 and October 2005 were analyzed.Results:After nutrition tube was placed into stomach,the tube tips in 2 cases reached the jejunum automatically needed 48 hours,10 cases needed 3 days and 5 cases needed 4 days,and other 3 cases needed the help of gastroscopy after 6 days leter.All of the 19 cases tolerated the enteral nutrition,and there was no relapse of SAP.The nutrition status of the patrents was improved after enteral nutrition for 2 weeks,3 of the 19 cases had pancreatic necrosis.Conclusion:It was safe,efficient and feasible of the early enteral nutrition in severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)through naso-jejunal tube.Enteral nutrition could improve the nutrition and prognosis of the patients.
