Endometrial receptivity is a key factor for the successful in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET).There is no consistent criteria to estimate it.As a non-invasive examination means, ultrasound has an advantage in IVF-ET and transvaginal color Doppler sonography is usually applied to estimate the endometrial receptivity.Three-dimensional ultrasound is a new imaging modality, superior in its features, such as objectiveness, simplicity, and repeatability. It has provided a new tool for assessing the endometrial receptivity. In order to discuss its values in the prediction of endometrial receptivity, this article reviews the technical aspects of it and its roles in assessing endometrial receptivity for in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer.
