Effects of selenium supplement to tumor immunity in mouse

Objective To understand the effects of supplement of selenium on tumor immunity in mouse.Methods The tumor growth and improvement of immune function in S180-bearing mouse were observed through perfusing Na2SeO3 into mouse’s stomach.Results Na2SeO3 can obviously inhibit the S180 tumor growth in mouse,strengthen the specific proliferation of spleen lymphocytes(P 0.05).Conclusions The study demonstrates that selenium can improve immune function and strengthen body’s anticarcinogenic function.
