The Determination of the Growth and Development of F_1 Generation Hybrid Yellow Cows Crossbreed with Yaks

This article probes into the situation of growth and development of the F1 generation of cattle yak offspring from the three-way crossbreed in combined propagation of the (western hybrid yellow cow) ♂crossbreed with the yak ♀and the (black hybrid yellow cow) ♂crossbreed with two yak ♀. The results have indicated that the physical dimensions and weight of the various age segments of the cattle yak show clear superiorities and the female cattle yak can begin production 1 to 2 years earlier. It is recommended that the three-way crossbreed in combined propagation be generalized in the improvement of yak crossbreeding.
