Objective:To investigate the effect of nursing intervention on cardiac function and clinical progress in discharged patients with chronic heart failure. Methods:A total of 148 discharged patients with chronic heart failure were randomly assigned to be regularly followed up either by specially educated and experienced cardiac nurses(73 cases as intervention group)or receiving routine care(75 cases as control). After 1 year follow up,the survival with free event, mortality, readmission and cardiac function index were all recorded. Results:After 1 year follow up,the survival with free event rate was higher, the mortality and readmission rate were lower, and the cardiac function index improved in the testes group than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Nursing intervention for discharged patients with chronic heart failure can improve the cardiac function and clinic progress, also decrease the medical expenses.
