Process Research on ZL101 Aviation Shell Casting Based on ProCAST Software

The forming process of ZL101 aviation shell castings was simulated by using ProCAST software. The actual production of the castings after improvement was carried out. The results show that the numerical simulation can visually see the mold filling and solidification process of castings. It can accurately forecast the potential defects. Design and optimization of casting process increase the quality of casting products and reduce the production cost.
