Value of MSCT in predicting site of hollow viscera perforation

Objective To investigate the value of MSCT in predicting hollow viscera perforation.Methods Seventeen patients of hollow viscera perforation proved by surgery were retrospectively studied.Results There were 11 patients with gastroduodenal perforation,2 with small bowel perforation,3 with colonic perforation,and 1 patient with uterine perforation.The main CT signs of hollow viscera perforation included gas accumulation,ascitis,bowel wall thickening and fat stranding.Conclusion MSCT has important clinical value to determine whether the perforation is occured and predict the site of perforation.
