Photocatalytic Three‐Component α‐Trifluoroalkyl‐β‐heteroarylation of Unactivated Alkenes with Trifluoroacetates

Abstract We herein disclose a direct and practical photocatalytic three‐component α‐trifluoroalkyl‐β‐heteroarylation of various unactivated alkenes with trifluoroacetates and quinoxalin‐2(1 H )‐ones. The reaction takes place via a photoinduced LMCT process, allowing efficient synthesis of a variety of 3‐fluoroalkylated quinoxalin‐2(1 H )‐one derivatives in moderate to excellent yields under mild reaction conditions.
