Evaluation of betaxolol in improving the glasgow outcome scale extended (GOSE) of the acute phase of patients with mild to moderate Traumatic Brain Injury: a double blinded randomized clinical trial
Both groups demonstrated significant improvement at 14 days. Betaxolol did not result in a statistically significant benefit over placebo in improving outcomes during the acute 14-day period. Betaxolol was well-tolerated but these findings do not support its efficacy for routine use in acute mild-to-moderate TBI. Further studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up are needed for conclusive evaluation.
