BF3-promoted selective catalytic hydroboration of epoxides to primary alcohols

The novel BF 3 -promoted hydroboration of epoxides has been demonstrated; both homogeneous catalyst BF 3 ·Et 2 O and heterogeneous catalyst BF 3 /HY exhibited remarkable catalytic activities for the synthesis of alkyl- and aryl-primary alcohols.
