The relationship of myofascial pain syndrome with type D personality and childhood trauma

Type D personality, childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, somatization, sexual dysfunction, and decreased life quality were found more commonly in MPS patients compared to the control group. Type D personality characteristics, childhood trauma, and sexual dysfunction are directly related to MPS' risk. This study was thought to contribute to the literature on improving preventive mental health by determining and reducing the MPS risk factors.
