By precisely tuning the pore space and the geometric disposition of inorganic anions in a 0.1–0.5 Å scale for the best match of the guest size/shape, Huabin Xing and co-workers report a fascinating trap for single propyne molecules in article number 1705374. This trap enables extremely high propyne uptake under ultralow pressure and record selectivity, affording the efficient removal of trace propyne from propylene.
