Homemade tube feeding is a tube feeding in which smooth or liquid food is used in addition to or in place of formula. Homemade tube feeding can also be referred to as blenderized tube feeding, blended formula, and puréed by gastrostomy tube diet. Patient and clinician interest in homemade tube feedings has increased during the past decade, and its use is becoming increasingly more common among adult and pediatric patients.
