Design on Broken Rope Protection Device of Promise Rope Winch

The study aims at the technique insufficient of promise rope winch due to lack of broken rope protection. And a designing scheme of broken rope protection for promise rope winch was proposed. The weak spot of wire rope for promise rope winch was obtained based on the analysis result of working characteristics. The broken rope protection, which adapts the working characteristics, was proposed based on the difference of cross rope for main rope and assistant rope. It makes the design satisfies the operating requirements of promise rope winch.
