Determination of Baicalin in Crude Baicalin by HPLC

ObjectiveTo establish an HPLC method for determination of baicalin in crude baicalin.MethodsUsing Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 column(5 μm,4.6 mm×250 mm).The mobile phases consisted of methanol-water-acetic acid(49∶51∶(0.2)).The UV detector at 275 nm.ResultsThe average recoveries of baicalin were 101.64% and RSD were 1.75%(n=5).There is a good linearity in range of 0.102~1.020 μg of baicalin(r=0.999 7).ConclusionThe method is simple,accurate and can be used to determine the contents of baicalin and crude baicalin.
