Research on atmospheric corrosion rule of carbon steel and low alloy steel in Chongqing and Wanning area

Long-term atmospheric corrosion rule of 17 kinds of carbon steels and low alloy steels after 16 years outdoor exposure test at Jiangjin sit located in Chongqing and Wangning site located in Hainan was analyzed.Results showed that the long-term atmospheric corrosion rule of carbon steel and low alloy steel in Jiangjin can be forecasted through 4 yeas atmospheric corrosion data.Lower initial corrosion rate of steels was found in Wanning,but rose after a certain period of time.The long-term atmospheric corrosion rate of weathering steels in Wanning can be forecasted through short-term atmospheric corrosion data,but other kinds of has no such rule.
