The Culture of Ameloblasts and Their Role in the Enamel Formation

Ameloblasts play an important role in the formation of teeth,which can synthesize,secrete,reabsorb and degradate the matrix of adamantine layer Amelogenin and Non- amelogenin play the key role in enamel formation.Ameloblasts had been successfully isolated and cultured in domestic and abroad,and the culture,proliferation and differentiation of this kin of cell were affected obviously by culture medium and matrix.This article reviews the culture of amebloblast,amelogenein secreted by amebloblast and their role in the formation of teeth.
