A New Method for Calculating the Detonation Velocity of Composite Explosives

Based on the characteristics of single explosives,their detonation velocity is correlated to the cons tituents of composite explosives and a new method is developed therefrom to calculate and predict the detonation velocity of composite explosives. The results show that the calculated detonation velocity is in good agreement with an average deviation of 1.58% to the experimental data.
