Studies on Anti-oxidation of Myocardial and Skeletal Muscle Mitochondrion in DaTong Yak during Different Growth Periods

The contents of lactic acid(LD) and malondialdehyde(MDA),activity of lactin dehydrogenase(LDH) and Superoxide Dismutase(SOD) in cardiac and skeletal muscle mitochondria in 1 day,30day,180day of age Yak and adult were examined.The result showed that there was no difference between different age groups in LD,MDA contents of cardiac and skeletal muscle mitochondria were not statistically significant(P0.05).The LDH activity of Myocardial mitochondria decreased with the growth of Yak.There was no difference between the different age groups in LDH activity of skeletal muscle mitochondria(P0.05).There was no difference between the different age groups in SOD activity of cardiac muscle mitochondria(P0.05).The anaerobic metabolism and antioxidant function of cardiac and skeletal muscle mitochondrial remain a stable metabolic level in Yak during the different growth periods.
