Physicometallurgical data were computed for all the binary combinations of elements in the periodic table with the exception of the halogens, rare gases, and those elements having higher atomic numbers than that of americium. Brief descriptions are given of the formulas for the following quantities: the radius ratio, the sublimation energy ratio, the Mott bending number, the Hildebrand or heat of mixing factor, and the electronegativity difference. Some possible uses of these quantities are also described. The sources of data selected for these calculations and the arrangement of the tables are discussed. (auth)
