A Case of Novel Meningoencephalomyelitis Associated With Vimentin IgG Autoantibodies

Vimentin IgG-related encephalomyelitis is a potentially novel meningoencephalomyelitis syndrome associated with autoantibodies against Vimentin. It was first studied and named by Professor Hao Junwei et al. in 2025. There are currently no other reports at home and abroad. Vimentin IgG-related encephalomyelitis is characterized by recurrent symptoms (mainly manifested as cerebellar ataxia and rhombencephalitis), bilateral corticospinal tract (CST) lesions, intrathecal IgG synthesis, and the presence of Vimentin IgG in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
