To observe the clinical effect of Tovramycin and Drxamethasone Eye Ointment unite meibomian gland message for chronic blepharitis treatment

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tovramycin and Drxamethasone Eye Ointment unite meibomian gland message for chronic blepharitis treatment on the basic of using erythromycin eye ointment and Polyethylene Glycol Eye Drops. Methods: 120 blepharitis eyes were divided into three groups: before blepharitis( 1),after blepharitis( 2) and hybrid blepharitis( 3). Each type was randomly divided into A、B group,while group A used erythromycin eye ointment and Polyethylene Glycol Eye Drops,and group B used Tovramycin and Drxamethasone Eye Ointment unite meibomian gland message on the basic of the treatment of group A. Observe meibomian gland secretions,clinical manifestations and scop of corneal lesions under slit lamp. Were followed for 1 year,and compared the recurrence rate after treat. Result: The total effective rate of group B is 76. 67%,and group A is 46. 16%,both are statistically significant( P 0. 05). Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference between the groups of blephartis related corneal diseases( P 0. 05). After 1 month treatment,there was statistically significant difference between the groups( P 0. 05). After follow- up of 1 year,according to the diagnostic criteria,there was statistically significant difference between the groups of recurrence( P 0. 05). Group B recurrence rates less than group A. Conclusion: Tovramycin and Drxamethasone Eye Ointment unite meibomian gland message have beneficial effect on blepharitis treatment,effectively improve sympotoms and signs,and reduce the recurrence rate.
