A Study of the Friendship between Ding Jing and Li E

Jing,the forefather of sigillography in Zhejiang school,and Li E,a famous poet of Zhejiang school,were named together as Ding Li.They two had a lot in common and very good personal friendship.When they were at the middle age,they became relatives by marriage.This article starts with their daily friendship,and,by listing data and studying their deeds,restores the friendship between them.Meanwhile,from the angle of the friendship between men of letters,it studies and summarizes the Hangzhou literary circles and Zhejiang school in Kangxi and Qianlong times of the Qing Dynasty.
