Study on Antidepressant Effect of Albiziae Cortex in Mice

[Objective]To study the antidepressant effect of Albiziae Cortex extracts.[Method]Mouse tail suspension test,forced swimming test and reserpine-induced mouse depression model were used to evaluate the antidepressant effect of Albiziae Cortex extracts.[Result]The extract of Albiziae Cortex significantly shortened disappointment time in mouse tail suspension test,forced swimming test and antagonized the ptosis and hypothermia in reserpine induced mouse depression model.[Conclusion] Extract of Albiziae Cortex had some antidepressant effect in mouse tail suspension test,forced swimming test and reserpine-induced mouse depression model.
