Advances in study for efficacy of duloxetine in pain treatment

Duloxetine is the first drug approved by American FDA for the treatment of major depressive disorder(MDD)and management of diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain(DPNP).The evidences prove that duloxetine possesses rather strong potent analgesic effect and is independent of its antidepressant effect. Furthermore,the good tolerance of this drug provides wide prospects for the treatment of chronic pain.This review focuses on the advances in the study on efficacy of duloxetine in pain treatment.
