Role of programmed cell death in radiation-induced intestinal injury

PCD plays a central role in the occurrence and development of RIII. Analyzing single pathways and elucidating the 'cross-talk' and regulatory logic between different forms of PCD, as well as identifying key molecular targets located at the intersection of multiple pathways, is likely to become a more effective new direction for prevention and treatment.
