Model of the active vibration isolation platform with magnetostrictive actuators

The active vibration isolation platform (AVIP) of multiple degree-of-freedom (DOF) is designed and constructed with four active vibration isolation modules (AVIM), each of which consists of two magnetostrictive actuators [1], applied to active vibration control (AVC), and four spring-rubber elements for passive support and damper. This paper addresses the dynamics model of the AVIP. The Vibration Differential Equations of AVIP with magnetostrictive actuators has been established and the solutions have been given. The dynamic characteristics of the AVIP are analyzed. Based on the dynamic model of the AVIP, the active vibration control simulation (AVCS) of it has been executed. The feasibility of the modularity design for the AVIP with great carrying capacity, wide frequency band and high vibration isolation precision is ascertained.
