Pharmcy-economic Evalution of Fluoxetine,Paroxetine,and Venlafaxine in Treatment of Major Depression

OBJECTIVE To compare the economic effect and safety of Fluoxetine,Paroxetine,and Venlafaxine to treat the major depression METHODS 126 cases of the major depression were selected,then treated and observed in random control Fluoxetine,Paroxetine,and Venlafaxine were 40 cases respectively Administrative scheme:To treat the major depression,Fluoxetine group were given Prozac 20mg,po,qd×6wk,Paroxetine group were given Seroxat 20mg,po,qd×6wk and Venlafaxine group were given Efexor 75mg,po,qd×6wk RESULTS The total cost of Fluoxetine,Paroxetine,and Venlafaxine was28973 28,30455 04,28056 00 respectively;the remission rate was 60%,65%,70% respectively;the effective rate was 72 5%,75% and 82 5% respectively CONCLUSION The added cost effectiveness analysis of three drugs showed venlafaxine was the best in treating major depression
