Objective:To estimate hepatic perfusion parameters with helical CT.Methods:Dynamic single-section computed tomography (CT) of liver was performed in 15 liver cirrhosis patients and 13 normal subjects. In accordance with the Child-Pugh classification,10 with Child B,and 5 classified with Child C.CT scans were obtained at a single level to include the liver, spleen, aorta, and portal vein.On each CT scan,time-density curves were described to calculate the hepatic perfusion parameters. Results:Hepatic perfusion parameters including hepatic artery perfusion, portal venous perfusion, total hepatic blood flow and hepatic perfusion index could be measured with dynamic single-section helical CT.Conclusion:Dynamic single-section CT shows potential in quantifying hepatic perfusion parameters.
