Objective To survey the safety and clinical therapeutic effectiveness of sequential levofloxacin administration in the treatment of community acquired pneumonia(CAP).Method 56 cases of CAP were randomly divided into 2 equal groups:levofloxcin alone and ceftriaxone plus azithromycin,and the efficacy,the eradication rates of pathogens and the rates of side effects were observed.Results The overall effective rates,in levofloxacin group and ceftriaxone plus azithromycin group were 92.8% and 89.2%,respectively(P 0.05),the eradication rates of pathogens were 88.2% and 87.5%,respectively(P0.05),the rates of side effects were 3.57% amd 3.57 %,respectively(P 0.05),and there was no siynificant difference between two groups.Conclusion The sequential levofloxacin medication is safe,effective and handy in the treatment of patients with community acquired pneumonia.
