An Experimental Study on Effects of the Number of Signal Sources on the Reaction Time for Signal Detection in a Visual Monitoring Task

A simulation experiment was conducted to examine the relationship between the number of signal sources and the reaction time for signal detection in a visual monitoring task. The number of signal sources varied from 2\|8 instruments,and the monitoring task lasted for 80 minutes in each experimental condition. The results are significant,and there was an interaction between the number of signal sources and task duration.
