The effect of using the train bot body bot pro device with auditory and visual stimuli on learning the forehand and backhand strokes in badminton among students
The research problem was formulated through the following question: Does the use of the Body Bot Pro Train Bot device incorporating auditory and visual stimuli, contribute more effectively than the conventional teaching method to the development of sensory-motor coordination and the learning of the forehand and backhand strokes in badminton among students? The study aimed to design and implement specialized exercises using the proposed Body Bot Pro Train Bot device with auditory and visual stimuli to facilitate learning of the forehand and backhand strokes among third-year students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Al-Mustansiriyah University (morning study). It also sought to identify the effect of the designed exercises on learning these two badminton skills in the experimental group and to determine the statistical differences between the experimental and control groups in the post-tests. To achieve these objectives, the researcher adopted an experimental design employing equivalent experimental and control groups. The study sample consisted of 24 students, equally divided into an experimental group (n = 12) and a control group (n = 12). A researcher-designed Body Bot Pro Train Bot device was utilized to facilitate the learning of the forehand and backhand strokes. Following the implementation of the training program, participants were evaluated using skill performance tests for both strokes. The findings demonstrated that the proposed exercises performed with the Body Bot Pro Train Bot device and supported by auditory and visual stimuli had a significant positive effect on learning the forehand and backhand strokes. The experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in all study variables, indicating the effectiveness of the designed device and the accompanying training exercises. Accordingly, the researcher recommended adopting modern educational technologies by integrating the designed device and its specialized exercises into badminton teaching curricula at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The study also emphasized the importance of updating instructional methods through the incorporation of advanced technological devices and teaching aids to enhance badminton skill acquisition and reduce reliance on traditional teaching approaches.
