Study on the rechargeability of alkaline Zn-MnO_2 battery

Through improving the process technology,primary alkaline battery can be recharged as secondary battery. The charge-discharge reaction mechanism for rechargeable alkaline Zn-MnO2 battery and the effects of over-charge/over-discharge on battery performance were discussed. The electrode design and formula,the process improvement for the rechargeable Zn-MnO2 battery were introduced in this paper. And the charge/discharge performance of rechargeable LR6 battery was compared with that of normal LR6 battery. It was pointed out that,by improvement,the cyclic life of alkaline rechargeable Zn-MnO2 battery could be over 100 times. Finally,the existing problems and resolving methods of rechargeable alkaline Zn-MnO2 battery were analyzed.
