Development of Directional Solidification Equipment with Liquid Metal Cooling

This paper presents a new type of directional solidification equipment,which can implement superalloy smelting,high rate solidification(HRS) and liquid metal cooling(LMC) directional solidification process.Moreover,the furnace structure,withdrawing systems,mould heating systems,liquid metal cooling system and radiation baffle of this equipment are also introduced.
