Effect of Temperature on Development of Maruca vitrata Fabricius(Lepidoptera:Crambidae)

Maruca vitrata Fabricius(Lepidoptera: Crambidae) was reared at different constant temperatures with RH80%.The results showed that the developmental duration was shortened with the increase of temperature within the range from 15℃ to 30℃.The development threshold temperatures for eggs,larvae,pupae and egg-adult were 11.3、10.8、9.9 and 10.9℃ respectively,while their effective accumulated temperatures were 40.2,169.5,135.1 and 344.8 day-degree respectively.
