There were many ways to achieve metallization of quartz optical fiber surface,and electroless plating was obviously superior to other methods.The research development of metallization of quartz optical fiber surface was summarized,and the process of pre-treatment of fiber surface,the composition of electroless plating bath,electroplating bath and optimum conditions were introduced.
