The relative theory and mathematical model of Movable Cellular Automata (MCA) method were described for simulating the high - rate penetration in this paper. The 2 - D numerical simulations on the penetrations of projectile into concrete targets with different content of aggregates were completed at impact velocity, 700 m/s. The calculation result showed the penetration processes is the local deformation processes. The content and distribution of aggregations near the penetration point have an effect on the an-ti - penetration properties of the concrete targets. In addition, the penetration depth vs impact velocity is given. The numerical example above proves that this algorithm is powerful and efficient for simulating the high - rate penetration.
