Effect of Rongban Tongmai Granules on platelet aggregation in rabbits

Purpose To investigate the effects of Rongban Tongmai Granules on platelet aggregation in rabbits.Methods Anticoagulants,such as Adenosine diphosphate(ADP),Arachidonic acid and collagen,were utilized to promote platelet aggregation,and the effects of Rongban Tongmai Granules on platelet aggregation in rabbits were observed using Born′s method,compared with those in the control groups and in aspirin groups.Results By intragastric administration of Rongban Tongmai Granules for 7 days,they reduced the platelet aggregation rates that collagen(P0.05-0.01),ADP(P0.05) and AA induced.Conclusion Rongban Tongmai Granules can inhabit platelet aggregation in rabbits,and the study has provided the experimental basis of them for treatment of patients with ischemic heart diseases.
