Preparation and Mechanical Properties of PVA Membrane

PVA was palletized by extrusion and then blow-moulded into membrane. The prepared PVA membrane was studied within the specific range. The result showed that with the increase of the content of plasticizer, the tensile strength and tearing strength of the membrane decreased gradually, while the elongation at break increased; with the addition of crosslinking agent, the tearing strength and tensile strength increased first and then decreased, but the elongation at break reduced gradually.
