Objective To restore the anterior teeth space with porcelain laminate veneers in proximal areas,and evaluate its clinical efficacy.Methods Twenty-seven anterior teeth of 16 patients,5 males and 11 females,were involved in this study.After tooth preparation only in proximal areas,porcelain laminate veneers were made and cemented with Variolink Veneer adhesive system.Clinical results were evaluated at months 6 and 12 after adhesion.According to the California Dental Association's quality evaluation system,six items including margin integrity,margin stain,color of the veneers,anatomic forms,secondary caries around the veneers,fracture and falling out of the veneers were examined.Results At months 6 and 12 after operation,all the veneers were successful.Conclusion The porcelain laminate veneers in proximal areas in restoration of anterior teeth space has an excellent clinical performance and it can be more easily accepted by patients.
