Research advancement of extraction and separation of flavonoids from Houttuynia cordata Thund

Flavonoids are natural medicines which have broad applied prospects.Houttuynia cordata Thund is rich in resources and can be used as one of major sources of flavonoids.Extraction and separation of flavonoids from Houttuynia cordata Thund were reviewed in this paper.The advantage and disadvantage of each technology were analysed to provide for extraction and separation of flavonoids from Houttuynia cordata Thund as references.The development prospect of the extraction and separation of flavonoids from Houttuynia cordata Thund was put forward.
