Retinoic acid receptor-related Orphan Receptor α(RORα) is a member of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily.RORα is wildly expressed in several organs and tissues in which it activates the transcription of specific genes.RORα plays a major role in cellular differentiation during development and growth of numerous tissues.RORα has also been shown to be involved in pathophysiologic processes, and seems to have a protective role in some diseases.
