Clinical study on combination of RFA and INFα in treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma

Objective To observe the clinical effect in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after radiofrequency ablation (RFA) combined with INFα.Methods 58 HCC patients were divided into 29 RFA treatment cases (RFA group) and 29 RFA combined with INFα(combination group).The surgery group included 29 cases.The differences of survival rate and relapse rate among the RFA, RFA+INFα and surgery group were compared.Results The 1-year survival rate of surgery group,RFA group and combination group was 85.72%,90.89%,93.45% respectively.The 2-year survival rate was 67.69%,75.19%,80.02% respectively.The 3-year survival rate was 46.52%,53.69%,61.74% respectively.The 1-year relapse rate of surgery group,RFA group and combination group was 28.63%,20.59%,15.19% respectively.The 3-year relapse rate was 35.35%,30.77%,23.91% respectively.There was significant difference in survival and relapse rate between RFA group and combination group.Conclusions RFA combined with INFα can improve the survival rate and decrease the relapse rate in HCC patients.
