摘要
Traumatic brain injury is increasingly recognized as a chronic, age-dependent and context-dependent neurological condition rather than being just a singular event. Its incidence, mechanisms, and outcomes may vary across the lifespan, with children, adults, and older adults exhibiting distinct clinical trajectories. These injuries can lead to long-term cognitive, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges that may only become apparent as developmental demands increase. The ability to treat them is often difficult in conflict zones despite their prevalence due to resource shortages.
