摘要
Evaluation of commercially available Beckopox polyepoxy EP 2350 and polyamine EH 613W resins to develop other alternatives for wood preservation treatments has been examined. A simple method by vacuum impregnation of these resins in different concentrations into beech and pine woods followed by a curing process at different temperatures has been conducted. Parameter analyses, such as weight gains, anti-swelling efficiency, wettability, Brinell hardness, decay durability against white-rot and brown-rot fungi and scanning electron microscopy analysis, have been evaluated. The results revealed that resin-treated wood especially cured at 103°C and 200°C presented better resistance to the leaching process, slightly better dimensional stability, lower wettability, better hardness, and very good resistance against Trametes versicolor, Poria placenta, Gloeophyllum trabeum after the leaching process.
