Concrete, a heterogeneous material by nature, exhibits variability in its properties due to differences in raw materials, mixing processes, curing conditions, and environmental exposure. Study focuses on analyzing the inherent variability in concrete properties using rebound hardness testing. The rebound index dataset from laboratory is analyzed by statistical method is crucial important role in engineering application for identification of reliable assessment and variability. From 140 cube specimens with different influencing factors. Eighteen (150–200) cube set specimens are analyzed separately for inherent variability analysis. Correlationship between inherent variability (location, variance and dispersion parameters) measures were studied from dataset of independent cube test specimen. It was realized that, positively skewed distributions seem to be an appropriate fit with a good curve for a larger dataset of frequency histograms of local statistical parameters. The W-stat test for normality parameters is highly acceptable at a very low significance level when applied to the 18 individual cube specimens analyzed separately for the independent cube specimens of rebound results. This study contributes to the understanding of concrete’s inherent variability and provides recommendations for improving the reliability of NDT methods.
